Seaweed, including Sea Kelp, is considered as a Superfood and is particularly popular within Asian cuisine, especially in Japan. Ascophyllum nodosum, better known as Sea Kelp, is native to the Atlantic Ocean and is also known as Rock kelp OR Norwegian Kelp. It is part of the sea vegetable population, with many varieties used within the cooking industry. Seaweed contains an array of different proteins, including; amino acids, omega-3 fatty acids, iodine, calcium, magnesium, potassium, Vitamin E, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B12, Vitamin C and Vitamin B9.
